Hello Sis’Uyanda
Getting right straight to the point! I really want to do something that’s going to change the way people or maybe should I say fans look at South African entertainment.
My main enquiry or need to know is; if I have an idea/s for a new TV show or a radio show what is the easiest or quickest way to get someone at the SABC to give me an ear, an eye and a hand to realize my venture? I believe I have the potential to come up with the “DOPEST” ideas for a new exciting TV show that will take SA by storm. One of the things I love most more than anything is music.
Uyanda some guys that I went to the same school with are DJ’s now anyway... I want to get to their level but I want it to be an experience that’s going to teach the youth out there that anyone with passion, drive, objectives, straight head can archive whatever they want to archive as long as they follow the right proper channels. You know Uyanda people always want to rush into things and normally things that are rushed don’t always work out 100%. I really want to be in the mix of life changing experiences and I want to do it with people who I see and trust that they would believe in my dreams just like I do; and help me 101% to archive success.
Yes; I am not going to lie to you everyone like to be famous, well known and respected. I just want to do things differently and help the youth to realize their potential sooner then later, at the same time I want to explore my potential and my strengths.
I am a creative person and I would really love to share my creativity with a company that will take it to greater heights and make something of it. My ideas include entertainment and a lot of giving to the community and at the same time educating and passing on good messages. I have the drive and will to share my ideas with the country.
I want to know from you Uyanda, if someone wants to do a presentation or share their thoughts. Does anyone from the production companies or the actual SABC or ETV etc. allow candidates to some kind of presentation or it all depends on some kind of structure? I do believe with the highest hope and trust that SA has a lot of people/youth with hidden talents. All that is needed is people who are going to go out their and scout new talent. It’s like story writing/searching. The greatest stories are in villages and places that most people in the SA media have not been to or have not heard of. All that is needed are people with the strength and power to discover and take good positive action or and exposure.
I see these programs like, “What’s’ your story etc. they go to the people but that’s it. People don’t really get anything out of it besides being on TV.
I am currently studying Media & Journalism through Damelin. I am working at the Sun City Resort as the Assistant Guest Relations Manager, at the Cascades Hotel. I am currently in talks with my HR department if I could move to our Head Office in Sandton or Carnival City so I can study properly and be close to the opportunities that I may come across. I have already put down my ideas on paper, a whole 10 pages worth. I did it on Word and not Power Point yet.
Uyanda all you have to do is give me different dates that we might meet on and discuss things formally in a relaxed environment. I am sure you had dreams and you worked hard to make them come alive. Now as a person who’s already there and making things happen, I see you and I get inspired and motivated to fight more to get to where I really want to be.
Please reply to this email, also advice me on which is the best way forward if I want to be noticed and taken into consideration about me and my ideas for the media. I know you know people that know people who make things happen….such as yourself. I would really love it if you could be my mentor throughout; I need someone with experience in the Media Game to be my closest critic and to be a major core in my source of direction in the Media.
Sorry for such a long email, it’s just that I have so much to say and so much to share. Hope to hear from you soon. Yes I haven’t told you all about me I’ve just told you about my plans and career drive.
Sisi uUyanda one thing that I can tell you is that I have it in me that I will succeed and it will be one the most talked about things in this country believe that. I was soo impressed when I heard you on Ukhozi FM’s EBS, when you guys were donating money mama uBusi Mhlongo. That is the exact kind of people and thoughtfulness that drives me into being part of a giving and rewarding being.
Kindest Regards,
Mr S.P Xulu
