Hi there,
Must say you inspire me to be the woman you are. I am 22 year old lady that works in a huge corporate company and I saw the interview in yesterdays Sunday Times/ Metro section 15/04 and you gave your website address and I've been logged on for my whole lunch hour.

Firstly I do wear make up (MAC) and I had the consultant in Sandton do my face up and I looked gorgeous but I can't seem to have the same effect on a daily basis. My wish is to look glamorous all the time be it at work or on weekends. I can't seem to shape my eyebrows correctly and I can't use liner because my hands are forever on my face. The make up makes my face feel heavy (even though it looks good) and I have one big shiny forehead. I can't seem last with lipstick because it disappears almost immediately.

I love heels with a passion but can't seem to find the perfect pair be it closed up or open, sharp point or round. My feet ache badly and I walk around looking very uncomfortable even though I walk with my head held high.

Then comes the part where I have let myself go to a point where I have a bulging tummy even though I don't have a child yet. I am not a gym kinda girl but I have joined the company's lady's soccer team hoping for a break through and I am optimistic.

Please give me tips on what to do for my face, body and the fashion issue I have. Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for the great fashion spread!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Uyanda
How are you? My name in Siphelele Ndlovu and im currently a 2nd year wits student. I must say you've played such a major role in my life. Vven though you don't know me but im one of your biggest fan who simply adores everything about you-from your dress style, beauty, confidence...to mention a few)

I was really motivated when I read your "my journey" page. Knowing the type of family and the situation I come from you have just made me to stop feeling sorry for myself but instead to aim high.

I have always had a passion for news reading but have never known which doors to knock. I was wondering if you could help me to be a "kid’s news reader" for sabc or to be a presenter. Im not a shy person and my English is very good. I have tried to approach the sabc people about this but didn’t win because they said they take people from agencies and I can't afford an agency. So I was really wondering if you could help me to achieve my dream seeing that you once worked for sabc.

PS: If you can’t help me with being a news reader/presenter, can you at least help me to get any job at the sabc even if it cleaning (trust me I will work my way up since im so passionate about it)

I would really appreciate it if you could help me with my dream as you are my last hope, thank you and may god bless you and lead you to the best with each passing moment

From: Siphelele Ndlovu, please reply

Sister you are happening, keep going.

My name is Nontuthuko .Makhaye I’m working for Government Communication and Information System in the Zululand District. I heard about you this morning 18/05/07 in Radio Ukhozi while you were donating for Mam’u Busi Mhlongo and I managed to get hold of your webpage. I have browsed into it and it quite interesting it is then that I had a thought that I’m working with different communities here in Zululand who are in deep rural areas, the youth is not at all motivated they are illiterate what I can say is they do not see the value of education anymore because of the rate of unemployment. My main worry now is they are contracting HIV/AIDS in a very fast pace and mostly are now dependant on this Child Support Grant as a result they are having 3 or 4 kids in a very short period of time therefore spreading the virus and infecting these young innocent children.

I have thought of many different ways to combat this but I can’t come up with a solution. The last one that I have not attempted are the motivational talks for the youth to give them the reason of their existence and how they should find it in their hearts and minds to change for the better as well as to influence others to make positive things. I’m stationed here a Ulundi but I’m working for all the 5 municipalities under Zululand District in Kwa Zulu Natal. Those other Municipalities are Nongoma, Vryheid ,Paulpietersburg,Ulundi and Pongola.

I learnt also that you also work with other celebrities please Uyanda if anyone of them can come and motivate the youth I’m afraid the way things are going and if you can assist by linking them with people where they can be assisted by getting bursaries, funding to start their businesses etc. We have tried on our side but because we are familiar to them now it’s like we just teasing them around.

I will very much appreciate it if you can reply this e mail and at least give me the idea of what other avenues do I need to explore. This is not Youth only even the women of this District are still suppressed they need to stand up and do things on their own.

Regards

Dear Uyanda
I trust that this mail finds you very well. I spoke to you some time ago, regarding my looming Red Carpet Moment. Poor planning (and hectic
travelling!) has meant that one week before the event I still do not have a clue of the outfit to wear.

Kindly offer some advice, the names of the people to approach etc. I've finally decided that the night of the 26th is my night, and I will make it a night to remember- starting with the outfit that'll make me feel like a queen.I will be in Jo'burg on Wednesday, but please feel free to get in touch anytime before then.
Regards Asanda
